Kevin for his career shoots 38%
from three and 43% from 16 feet to the three-point line. Also, it should be
noted he is currently shooting 42% from three during the 2017/18 season. After
calibrating all his miss fundamentals together against the rest of the NBA I
can conclude that he is between a 40%-42% three-point shooter. His miss fundamental
totals were most comparable to Klay Thompson, however they were slightly worse.
Kevin really only has one problem in his shot
delivery and that is the fade he has. He naturally fades on his shot, which is
fine to a point. However, he has a tendency to lean back too far, which is the
biggest reason why he misses. He fade/leans at a 42% rate per 100 missed shots,
while the elite shooters average is only 25%.
Kevin, like all elite shooters, has great form,
fundamentals and release point on his shot. He does a lot of things extremely
well such as holding his hands, keeping his feet on balance, stepping into his
shot, rarely missing short, and having a lot of good misses; all of these
fundamentals are in the elite shooters percentile.
